Leroy Roberts Locates Missing Child at Villa Del Sol
On March 30, 2015, a child went missing at Villa Del Sol Apartments. Officer Leroy Roberts was the dedicated officer onsite. He successfully assisted the Dallas Police in the case with hard work and dedication, locating the missing child in the backseat of a vehicle. On behalf of the entire Signal 88 franchise, we would like to say, “Thank you and keep up the good work!”
Report From Leroy Roberts on Mar 30th, 2015 – Police Case # 69687-2015:
Around 2300 I was stop by Ms Felicia Miller the resident in unit 2097 Ms. Miller inform me that her 4 year old daughter was missing and was last seen 5 minutes prior to stopping me. I immediately began to search the surrounding area for the child. I checked under vehicles, I even check around the trash dumpster after checking the areas and there was no sign of the child. I placed a call in to notify the Dallas Police Department of the situation. I then expanded my search around the entire complex – I began to check breezeways, playground and dark areas in the complex. Still the child was not located.
Officer Jefferson, Badge 10447 with the Dallas Police Department was the first officer on site. I brought officer Jefferson up to speed on the situation. I then continued to search for the child. Shortly after speaking to officer Jefferson, a K-9 unit arrived along with Dallas Police Helicopter unit (Air1) to join the search for the missing child. Around 0105 I found the child asleep in the back seat of a green Toyota Corolla TX plate DN6N758. The vehicle looked almost like the vehicle that Ms. Miller drives. Around 0120 Dallas Fire Rescue 51 came out to check out the child. There weren’t any issues with the kid.
Officers Andrew Brown and Jeff Kool Provide Assistance After Vehicle Accident
Signal 88 Security is proud of Officers Andrew Brown and Jeff Kool of Waterloo, Iowa for their efforts following a deadly car crash in East Central Iowa. All our officers are properly trained and ready to assist during an emergency, and Andrew and Jeff are no exception – they reacted quickly, even jumping on the car’s trunk to keep it from sliding further into a ditch.
Here’s the news story as seen on KWWL, which prompted an explanation of Iowa’s Bystander Law.

After 23 years as a law enforcement officer, I began to search for a business opportunity where I could put my experience to good use and found Signal 88 Security. During the due diligence process, I learned that Signal 88 was a very well-organized and innovative physical security company and I wanted to be a part of it.
I opened my first franchise in New Orleans in November of 2013. I was so impressed with the overall system and potential for growth that I partnered with my brother, Steve, to open a second franchise in Mobile, AL.
After a ton of hard work, and outstanding support from the Franchise Group, our growth has been unbelievable. By following the system put in place by the Franchise Group and surrounding ourselves with great people, we exceed our 5 year financial goals within the first 2 years. I am so grateful that I decided to become a part of the Signal 88 family, and I am excited for all of the great things the future has to hold.

As an accountant and business owner, I was attracted to franchising and specifically Signal 88 for many reasons but here are my top two:
Culture – does the company/franchise you are going to partner with have a culture that you want to be part of and will nurture growth of you AND the franchise group? I reviewed a wide array of franchises and visited many before selecting Signal 88 Security as my partner. The culture here at Signal 88 is one of passion, honesty & integrity, relationships, serving and learning. I now know these are our CORE Values but I didn’t know that when I was interviewing Signal 88 but those CORE Values came through with every interaction I had, from the CEO to the officers, across the board I was again and again shown these values in our interactions. It is refreshing and a place I want to be part of.
Leadership & Growth – We are getting better every day. Looking back at our history and coming forward to today what I found is strong leadership and consistent growth, a clear vision of where we were and where we are going. Is everything perfect? Of course not, but it never is, what is remarkable is that you will have the personal support and respect to help you grow AND be part of a team you can help direct and improve.
